Capturing Culture

“What does your culture mean to you?”

Entries in any category are invited to compete to win the Capturing Culture award. Prizes will be awarded to the top three films.

To be considered for this award, your film must deal with the subject of race and/or culture.  Upon submission, you will identify the film as eligible for this award via the online submission form.

Prompts

The following prompts can guide you in producing your film:

  • How do you express your culture and/or race/ethnicity (or see it expressed) in the world around you?
  • How do you see your culture interacting with different cultures?
  • How does your culture and/or race/ethnicity shape how you experience the world?
